Two Centuries.
One Standard.

The El Tawil family have been building since 1810. By the mid-twentieth century, they were among Egypt's most prominent industrial families. When the El Tawil Tannery was nationalized in 1963 under Nasser's socialist policies, it marked not an end — but a pause.

In 1972, as President Sadat's Infitah policy reopened Egypt to private enterprise, Mr. Said El Tawil returned. He founded El Tawil Trading & Engineering — one of the country's first privately owned companies of the modern era — and over the following decade built a portfolio of industry firsts: Dolce, Egypt's first ice cream manufacturer, later acquired by Nestlé; the Nile Company for Food Industries (Enjoy), a pioneer in fruit juice and dairy, later sold to private equity; Nassco Trading, among Egypt's first private cotton exporters. And in 1985, Setcore Petroleum Services.

Each enterprise reflected the same conviction: that quality built by hand, from nothing, endures. Today, under the leadership of his grandson Tamer Nassar, Setcore carries that conviction into every wellbore we touch — across four countries, in the service of the region's most demanding energy operators.
