    Setcore Petroleum was founded in 1999 as a member of the Setcore Group, which was established as a modern company by the late Said El Tawil in 1972.

    Having already managed a number of large private and state-owned Egyptian enterprises, Mr El Tawil built the Setcore Group to include leading businesses in food processing, finance and textiles.

    A member of a family that can trace its commercial roots back to the early 19th century, Mr El Tawil ensured that his company was built to continue both a family and business tradition – a tradition of boldness, integrity and hard work.

    Since 1999, Setcore Petroleum Services has expanded the Group’s expertise into oilfield services, with a growing footprint across the MENA region and beyond.

    Today, led by Mr El Tawil’s grandson Tamer Nassar, Setcore Petroleum Services continues to build a reputation for delivering cutting-edge solutions for the oil and gas industry’s toughest challenges, and it is proud to still be operating on the traditions and values of its founder.
