Wireline Senior Lab Engineer

The Wireline Senior Lab Engineer is responsible for conducting tests, evaluations, and quality assurance of wireline tools and equipment.

Role Purpose

This role involves troubleshooting, fixing issues and ensuring wireline systems meet operational and safety standards.

Responsibilities include but not limited
  • Conduct tests on wireline tools and systems to ensure they meet technical specifications and operational requirements.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues with wireline tools and equipment, providing root cause analysis and recommending improvements.
  • Ensure that all lab equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and in compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Ensure all wireline tools and equipment adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control protocols.
  • Work closely with field engineers and provide 24/7 technical support by phone or filed visits.
  • Compile detailed test reports, document test procedures, and maintain accurate records of equipment performance and test results.
  • Perform technical upgrades in accordance to company standards to ensure high operation efficiency.
  • Work and communicate effectively with all levels of co-workers and external customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Certifications in Wireline Operations or related oil and gas engineering certifications.
  • Experience in Wireline Operations with a strong understanding of wireline tools and their functions.
  • Familiarity with downhole environments, including pressure, temperature, and fluid dynamics.
  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot and repair of PLT tools, CBL tools and Gamma Ray perforating tools.
  • Ability to operate, troubleshoot and repair Cased hole logging surface system and standard depth & tension control system.
